About cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. CaseThread uses only strictly-necessary cookies — the ones needed to sign you in and keep the service secure. We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking or profiling cookies.

Strictly-necessary cookies we set

Sign-in session (Supabase authentication) — keeps you securely signed in and maintains your session. Without it the app cannot function.

Security / bot-defence — our CAPTCHA provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) may set a short-lived cookie on the sign-in and public forms to tell humans from bots.

Pre-launch preview access ("ct_preview") — set only during the pre-launch period when you enter the preview key, so testers can reach the gated site. It is removed once the site launches publicly.

Analytics — and why they need no cookies

Marketing pages: we use Plausible, which is cookieless and collects only aggregate, anonymous page metrics.

In-app product analytics: none. We do not run product analytics inside the practice app.

Error monitoring (Sentry) is configured not to capture personal information and does not set tracking cookies.

Managing cookies

Because we set only strictly-necessary cookies, there is no advertising or tracking to opt out of. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking the sign-in cookie will prevent you from using the app. We honour browser "Do Not Track" signals to the extent applicable, though our analytics do not track you across sites in any case.

Changes

If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie, we will update this policy and seek consent where the law requires it.
